Months ago, Liza Soberano flew to LA to take care of her health and undergo a series of surgeries on her finger. ABS-CBN notes, “In August 2018, the 21-year-old actress fractured her right index finger in an accident on the set of the now-defunct fantaserye Bagani.”

Through IG live stream, the actress explained that she recently underwent two-finger procedures. “I had the interphalangeal joint infusion which literally means that they fused both of my bones on my fingers. There is still hardware in it to keep it together,” Liza explained. “I also did iliac crest graft harvesting which is when they take bone from your hip and they put it in my finger basically because I had a lot of bone loss in my finger due to the infection. And basically, some of the bone was dead too.”

Hopie: who are you?

In the video, she also revealed, “I’m kinda groggy from the pain medication and I just literally got out of the recovery room.” This seemed evident enough in the IG story posted by her aunt, Joni Lyn Castillo-Pillarina, which shows Liza failing to recognize her boyfriend Enrique Gil, who was at her bedside. “Who are you?” She asked Enrique, who replied while laughing, “It’s me, it’s Quen.”

Needless to say, #lizquen fans found this scene endearing.

Get well soon Hopie! ❤️
