Women, particularly those with kids, take online education because it’s convenient and easy for them. Another explanation according to Carol Aslanian of Aslanian Market Research is that they are working in professions that need continuous education, and additional degrees and certificates.

TESDA is meant to teach vocational courses that will help people, especially those with lower income, start their own businesses and build their resumé for potential work opportunities. One field that’s stereotypically meant for men is automotive and car servicing. But if you’re a woman who’s interested in vehicles and want to learn how to fix them, feel free to enroll in the self-paced courses in Automotive Battery Servicing and Diesel Engine Tune Up.
Full Sail University
Course to enroll in: Game Design
Although the gaming community is made up of mostly women now, there’s still a gap in female representation in the industry. Full Sail has a lot of game-related courses, and Game Design is one of those courses that offer online options. Once you enroll, you can get a 29-month education for a bachelor’s degree. You will learn about “both systems and level designs that will prepare you to prototype and evaluate your game projects.”

Course to enroll in: Algorithms
This site has several courses from many prominent universities in the world. Algorithms is part of Stanford University’s programming field, which teaches the basics “with emphasis on applications and scientific performance analysis of Java implementations.” If you want more motivation to pursue this, know that programming still has a gender disparity problem and you can be one of the women who can change that landscape.

Course to enroll in: Solar energy
The Philippines ranked 5th worldwide and 1st in Asia when it comes to solar power. This Udemy course on solar energy covers beginner to advanced lessons in the topic. It’s a great opportunity for you since renewable energy is on the rise, especially with people looking for alternative and sustainable means of power. (As of writing, 48 percent of the global labor force in renewable energy are made up of women.)
PSE Academy E-Learning
Course to enroll in: Stock market education
Learn about the basics of stock investment and enhance your trading skills with the Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc.’s free learning materials. Here, you can find readings, videos, webinars, and podcasts that will greatly help you in your endeavor. There’s also “Market Talk,” which is an interactive tool that lets stock market hopefuls to gather information and learn to make decisions and solutions to investing challenges.
