Yesterday, I attended a very interesting product launch. I remember reading the invite and thinking, “Huh? This is vague yet intriguing. I wonder what it is.” The only information we got is that it was related to vulva care. Okay, now let’s get to specifics.
Two Lips is a brand focused on vulva care and the first product to launch in the Philippines is their Blackout charcoal mask. Yes, sheet masks aren’t just for your face anymore. It has key ingredient groups, each targeting a specific problem. Activated charcoal detoxifies and boosts lymphatic drainage, elderflower and chamomile moisturize, and aloe vera hydrates. These all sound like things you would want for your face, so why not achieve the same for your vulva? I understand if you’re skeptical but all masks are made from organic ingredients and have been gynecologically and dermatologically tested.

These can be used to soothe after getting a wax or giving birth. You can also use this on a regular day. They suggest using it for five consecutive days and then once a week after that for maintenance. But they also claim that you will see results after one use.
If you’re still not buying it, I tested it out for myself. Here’s what went down. They suggest laying down for this so you can properly apply the mask to your body. When the mask is unfolded, it should cover your pelvic area, vulva, and inner thighs. Oh, the top is lacey for good measure, too. They recommend you leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. They even created a Spotify playlist you can listen to while the mask is on.
I found that, just like a face mask, it’s never really a true fit. There’s definitely a lot of adjusting involved to make sure everything is covered. This is bound to happen since not all bodies are the same. Also, don’t worry about hair, the serum should still work. Once I found the most comfortable placement, I could feel the cooling and soothing effects. Once the 20 minutes was up, I felt more refreshed and ready to start my day. However, I did just use it once so I couldn’t see other changes in terms of brightening so I might have to try it a few more times to notice those results. Overall, I would recommend you try it at least once or when needed. This is also a good way to normalize the way we should be talking about our bodies and how we care for them. If you want to test out these masks for yourself, you can buy them at Strip outlets for P1,280 per mask.
