Champagne

Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone! Congratulations, you made it to the last day of 2018. We already gave a list of things to raise your glasses to. Now, here’s some champagne recommendations to fill up those glasses with. In case you don’t already have a few bottles of bubbly, here are some suggestions. These are also available online so you can try to place an order if you don’t have time to head out to the nearest liquor store.

Moët & Chandon Imperial Ice

Moët & Chandon will most likely already be on your list, but here’s something new you can try. Their Imperial Ice is “the first and only champagne especially created to be enjoyed over ice.” So, you don’t have to worry about a watered down flavor over warm champagne. Don’t worry, it still has that classic fruity taste. Available on Boozy.

Dom Perignon

If you’re willing to splurge on the last day of the year, cop this bottle. After having a few sips of this, see if you can taste notes of citrus, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. This champagne is meant to be shared, so don’t forget to pour a few flutes for your family. Available on The Booze Shop.

Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Rosé

This bottle made its way to Forbes’ best champagne and sparkling wines of 2018. The price of this is definitely up there but here’s why it’s worth it. There are notes of pears, almonds, and figs. The fresh taste pairs well with seafood and chicken, but feel free to drink it on its own. Available on Manila Wine.

Asti Martini

Come dessert time, bring out a bottle of Asti Martini. It is a sweet drink that you can pair with fruits and ice cream, or both. This is also budget friendly, so this is your best bet if you have lots of guests. At P600, get as much as your wallet can handle. Available on Alcoline.

Nicolas Feuillatte Demi-Sec

The last recommendation on this list has a fruity flavor. You’ll get notes of apple and honey in each glass. This is also fairly affordable so you won’t feel too bad when you’re raising your fifth glass to cheers the new year. Available on Drinkka.
