So the sweater weather is here, but just like any season, you always want to make a statement through fashion—sometimes literally. In-your-face messages are a sure route to show your personality. I’m pretty sure you’ve got a favorite statement shirt featuring a vague phrase, some song lyric or movie quote, or an allusion to a cause you champion. For this season, replace that with sweaters so your statement-loving self can shine all year round. Here are some with standout messages you can check out.

Mango ‘Power’ sweatshirt

The message, featuring the ribbon symbol for breast cancer awareness, is short but powerful. You’ll look cute in this pink sweater, but the best thing about it is, you’ll do your part for cancer awareness. Since this piece is included in their solidarity collection in partnership with Fero Foundation, your money will go towards promoting cancer research. Available at Power Plant Mall.

Bershka ‘You can do anything’ sweater dress

For those days when you’re your own cheerleader, let this plush jersey dress from Bershka lift you up. Its sweet, positive message that “you can do anything” is the pep talk you need when you look in the mirror—not to mention, to those people you’ll meet along the way. Go put this on and spread the good vibes, girl. Available at Glorietta 2.

Zara Plato slogan sweatshirt

When you feel all deep and philosophical and sh*t, this stone grey round neck sweatshirt featuring a slogan of Plato’s “Ideas are the source of all things” on the chest will make people—to borrow the oh-so eloquent phrase Kylie Jenner popularized—like, realize stuff. Available at Power Plant Mall.

H&M ‘Okay’ sweatshirt

This stand-up collar sweatshirt with color block pink hues is perfect for any day, TBH. The huge “Okay” can be genuine or sarcastic, depending on your mood, obvi. In case you’re going for sarcasm and people don’t get it, an eyeroll always helps—thanks to this, you’ll look good doing it. Available at SM Makati.

Mira Mikati ‘Always Tomorrow’ Sweater

Def a looker, this colorful, oversized sweater is actually part of Mira Mikati’s racer girl-inspired Fall ’18 presentation, which was held in a garage filled with vintage cars. If the retro stripes don’t catch your attention, that embroidered “Always Tomorrow” in rainbow letters, front and center, surely will. The bright message befits the bright sweater, no doubt. Available on Net-a-porter.
