Birthday Month

Some people celebrate birthdays but I try to make my whole birth month a party. Since my birthday is at the end of the month, the excitement build up every day. And even if your birthday is earlier in the month, you can still plan out ways to have a good time for the full four weeks.

I know a lot of you are thinking that it might be excessive but i don’t see anything wrong with showing some extra love to yourself. And you don’t have to do it in extravagant ways either, you can start out with something small and have a big finale when the day comes. So, if you’re thinking of celebrating an entire month for your birthday that’s coming up, here’s what you can do.

Plan a trip

When it’s my birthday month, I always try to plan a trip. It’s nice to take a break from work and other stressful things in your life. You can take a quick trip out of town or create a detailed itinerary for your dream vacation. I suggest planning these months in advance so you can file your leaves and iron out all the details.

Look at throwback photos

Now that you’re turning a year older, take some time to reminisce. Look back at the year that has passed and see how much you’ve grown. The photos you have will probably bring back some memories so this is a great way to sort of relive them. You can even look at baby photos or the embarrassing snaps from high school.

Spend time with your family

Many of us have busy schedules so as part of celebrating your birth month, make time for your family, especially your parents. Aside from yourself, they’re probably the most excited for your special day. This can be as simple as having brunch together or just giving them a visit.

Treat yourself

Now is as good a time as any to treat yourself. This can be in many forms. It can be taking a break from work or trying out a new workout class you’ve been eyeing, and copping that designer bag you’ve been wanting for a long time. During this time, spoil yourself silly because you deserve it

Have a dinner

Having a birthday dinner is always a good idea. It can be something intimate where you just have your close friends and family. You can even host this at home so it feels more personal. What’s good about a dinner is that it can start out chill and then build up as the night goes on. You can choose to continue having drinks and then transfer to a bar where the real party begins.
