Keep that homemade Shake Shack burger recipe because the Philippines is about to get the real thing. The burger joint will open its first branch here.

Shake Shack made the announcement on Instagram which shows a photo of the Philippine islands surrounded by a burger and crinkle fries. “We’ll be bringin’ the goods to the Pearl of the Orient in spring 2019. Let the countdown begin!”

Mabuhay, Manila! Pack the Jeepney – we’re officially headed to the Philippines! 🙌 We’ll be bringin’ the goods to the Pearl of the Orient in spring 2019. Let the countdown begin! 🇵🇭 #shakeshack

If you’re not familiar with how popular Shake Shack is, Business Insider noted that hundreds of people line up every day—for hours even!—just to get a burger and a milkshake since it opened in 2001. And they have vegetarian options too so nobody will miss out.

Not to mention that Shake Shack has been referenced in some popular movies. Something Borrowed (starring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, and John Krasinski) shot scenes at the joint. Shake Shack also made a quick cameo in Tower Heist (starring Ben Stiller) where Michael Peña was seen wearing a burger shirt.

And if you watched How I Met Your Mother from start to finish, you’ll know that Lily opened her own branch at their New York block.

Anyway, who’s excited to eat at Shake Shack? Let us know in the comments below!
