Rainy Shoes

With the rain pouring outside, you might have some difficulty picking an outfit for work. You will most likely avoid white pants so they don’t get dirty or bottoms that expose your legs too much so you don’t get wet. You also have to consider what shoes to wear. Rain, or water in general, is the number one enemy to severalf kinds of shoes. No matter the distance you walk on a daily basis, whether it be to and from work or from meeting to meeting, you have to be wearing proper footwear. You have to make sure the material won’t get ruined easily if it gets wet. You also have to consider if it will protect your feet from possible floods and puddles. So, if you’re struggling to find the perfect pair, we have some suggestions below. No, they aren’t all water-resistant but they’ll still keep your feet dry from light drizzles to thunderstorms.

Melissa Preppy Flats

You can still wear flats during the rainy season, just make sure your feet will be protected. Melissa’s shoes are a good option to consider because of their jelly, rubber material. These flats are a mix between a classic loafer and Mary Janes. This design will look good paired with trousers and a long-sleeved blouse. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Charles & Keith Studded Strap Calf Boots

If you need a little more protection and traction, cop some rubber boots. This pair comes up past the ankles and to the calf so you can walk in areas where it might be a little flooded. For embellishments, it also features a strap with black studs and silver hardware. Wear pants that will fit in the boot for a seamless look and throw on your raincoat. Available at Robinsons Place Manila.

Stuart Weitzman The 5050 Bootie

If the rain isn’t too bad, a pair of casual boots will work as well. This one comes in leather, which makes it water resistant. It has just a minimal heel so you won’t have trouble walking in the rain either. You can pair this with long skirts or culottes. Available at SM Aura Premier.

Steve Madden Doreen Flats

For a light drizzle, try out this pair from Steve Madden. It has a chunky heel, which makes it sturdy. Because these are loafers, you can also pair them with socks to keep your feet dry. This is also a good way to add some design to your outfit so don’t be afraid to wear socks with some print. Available at Shangri-La Plaza.

Vans Slip-On Sneakers

On the off chance you can wear sneakers to work, maybe on casual Fridays, wear this pair from Vans. They’re slip-ons so you don’t have to worry about your laces coming undone while walking out to lunch. It also comes in a black color, keeping stains hidden. Available on Zalora PH.
