Claudia Barretto has shared yet another beauty look that we’re into. Remember when she used Fenty Beauty’s Trophy Wife highlighter on her lids? This time around she used more color—purple to be exact. She had purple shades blended from a darker shade on her lids to a lighter one near her brow bone. She kept the rest of her makeup simple, bringing the attention to her eyes.
If you’re like me and you don’t really want to splurge on makeup, there are more affordable options out there. In case you forgot, drugstore brands are pretty good too. They’re reasonably priced and sometimes work just as well. So, no need to worry because you can practice doing Claudia’s new look with products that cost less than P1,000. Don’t believe me? Keep on reading.
Before you work on the rest of your face, start off with your brows. Claudia seems to have her barely filled in. For this, you can use BYS’ brow powder palette. It has three shades so you can pick the one that’s closest to your hair color or mix them up to get the perfect hue. After filling them in, brush the hairs up to make them look fuller. Available on Zalora PH.
What first drew our attention to this look was the bright purple eyeshadow. Create your own purple gradient with Revlon’s palette. It has four pans with varying shades of purple. Don’t forget to drag the color along your lower lashline and add the lightest shade to highlight your inner corner. Available at SM Makati.
Once you’re happy with your eyeshadow blending, move on to eyeliner. Claudia used a black one and drew a small wing. It was subtle but added some shape to her eyes. Careline’s liquid eyeliner has a fine tip so you can start off with a thin line and build it up if needed. Available online.
Claudia’s lashes looked full and bag, and you can achieve that with some mascara. The wand of this mascara is curved to distribute the product evenly. It helps to define the lashes and delivers zero clumps. Available at Watsons branches.
Moving on to the face, Claudia didn’t have a chiseled contour but she did have some bronzer. Just enough to add some color back into her skin. Human Nature’s bronzer has a buildable formula so you can put as little or as much as you want. It also has a matte finish that will absorb shine. Available at Rustan’s Supermarket branches.
Claudia’s highlight looked natural and gave her face a wet look. For this, we think going for a champagne shade works best. You can keep it sheer by dipping your brush in the pan and applying to your face. If you want something more intense, wet your brush before picking up pigment. Use this on your cheekbones, forehead, cupid’s bow, nose, and even the inner corner of your eyes. Available on Beauty MNL.
Because of her bold eyeshadow, Claudia went for a nude lip color. Blk’s Sweet is a similar nude shade that has a hint of pink in it. After you’re done applying this to your lips, you can add some highlight to the center to make it pop more. Available online.
