For the makeup-lovers out there, you might think that wearing glitter eyeshadow to work is a bit much but there are ways to achieve a light shine—even in a corporate setting. Our suggestion is to apply just a touch of glitter during the day and once you’re done with work, build up the shine with more products and other colors in the palette. Depending on your mood and how much glitter you want, there are many products to choose from like quads, full palettes, and even single liquid eyeshadows. Control these with a light or heavy hand and you’ll have a finished look in no time. Aside from these products, we wanted to give you some tips to get that perfect look you can transition from the office to after-work drinks.

Light Shine

For a soft shimmer on the lids, you can just use one shade. Blk’s liquid eyeshadow is buildable formula. So, during the day, you can swipe on just a small amount and then apply more before you head out. It also dries down smooth and has a budge-proof finish. Its small packaging is perfect for throwing in your bag.

Smoke it Out

For a more intense look, try a smokey eye. During the day you can use the two lightest shades to create a minimal eye look. At night, pick up the darker shade with your brush and buff it out in your crease and outer corner of your eyes. You can also drag the color down to your lower lash line to intensify it.

Shop: J.Cat Triple Crown Baked Shadow in Ginger. Available at Uptown Mall.

Pop of Color

Don’t be afraid to wear a little bit of color on your lids to work. From this palette, you can start off with Sinful and Enigma for a natural glitter look. Then, start to add in the colors for your night out. Play around with the different shades of blue and red. There’s also a shiny gold shade you can use on the center of your lids.

All the Glitter

Go full-on glitter with this palette from Colourpop. Spritz your brush with some water before picking up the shade you want to use and then pack it onto your lids. I suggest the lighter colors for the day. Once you clock out at work, you can go crazy with the other shades, mixing and blending them together.

Shop: Colourpop Golden State of Mind Platte. Available on Beauty MNL.

Go Holo

Holographic makeup is still in and you can wear it to work. This quad from Milk Makeup has shades that you can wear to the office and amp up at night. Golden peach is a safe color to start with and you can also use white to highlight the inner corner of your eyes. Build up the look with the either pink or icy blue, depending on your mood.
