Summer Fashion Picks to Beat the Heat

Summer is here and it’s time to switch up your wardrobe. Bring out the camisoles to stay cool, sun dresses for a pop of color, and sandals for your beach trips. These might be pieces you already have in your closet but there’s always something new for you to add. If you’re looking for a fresh way to spruce up your outfits, take inspiration from what some celebrities have been wearing. We’ve also added some alternatives that you can shop over the weekend.

Even if it’s starting to get hot out, you can still wear your long-sleeved button up tops. Just style them differently like chi gibbs. All you have to do is leave the first few buttons undone so you can wear it off shoulder. You can also tie the bottom to make it cropped.

Shop: Zara Embroidered Shirt with Perforations, Available at Power Plant Mall.

Lovi Poe

Summer shoes can still be dressy, just like Lovi Poe’s recent pick. While at the beach, she wore a pair of black wedge shoes. If you’re on vacation, style them like Lovi did with a matching shorts and bandeau set. But you can also wear these with jeans in the city.

Shop: Charles & Keith Espadrille Wedges, Available at Greenbelt 5.

Jess Wilson

Summer dresses don’t always have to be bright and patterned. A clean white option also looks good. Jess Wilson was also at the beach recently and wore a white dress with thick straps. To complete the look, put on a pair of sandals or slides.

Shop: H&M Dress with Broderie Anglaise, Available at SM Makati.

Julie Anne San Jose

A quick and easy outfit for summer are rompers and playsuits. Julie Anne San Jose wore one recently in a light blue color. You can also play around with the style by copping one that’s off shoulder or has an interesting print.

Shop: Topshop Striped Bardot Playsuit, Available at SM Megamall.

Gabbi Garcia

Your summer wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a swimsuit. If you’re not comfortable wearing bikinis but want to show some skin, pick a two piece suit that has a high-waisted bottom. Gabbi Garcia is a fan of this style and wore a set recently in dark blue.

Shop: Float Elena Top and Bottom, Available at Adora, Greenbelt 5.
