On Christmas day, host Tim Yap and events director Javi Martinez Pardo got married in a low-key ceremony in New York City. In an Instagram post, Tim mentioned that they only had two witnesses during the wedding. One of them was singer and Broadway star Lea Salonga.
Lea is in New York for her show Once on This Island. She said that when Tim asked her to be a witness, she immediately said yes. The second witness, who was tagged in one of Tim’s posts, was businessman and art collector Marcel Crespo.
Tim and Javi got married at The Peninsula New York after almost a year of being engaged. Both mentioned how cold it was while they said their vows, and even joked that their tears got frozen in the process.
