To add to our list of weddings this year is the ceremony of Vania Romoff and husband Steven Fűglister. Over the weekend, the two got hitched on the sandy shores of Boracay.
Apart from the ceremony itself, they had a beautiful reception on the beach. It was a “tropical chic” set up with a color palette of “turquoise sky and raspberries.” The centerpiece was filled with flower and candles while a simple tablescape was used. If you want to bring this outdoor inspired table setting indoors for your next dinner, here are some items you can use.
If you want your guests to be able to season their food to taste, leave salt and pepper shakers on the table. The one used on Vania’s tables were clear with silver caps so they weren’t eyesores against the design of the setting. Available at Crate&Barrel, SM Makati.
Because the other elements on the table were festive and colorful, they kept the napkins plain. Pick a white option like this one from H&M. It is made of 100 percent linen and also comes in a beige color if you want a more earthy hue. Available at Greenbelt 4.
Weddings wouldn’t be complete without some booze. Wine is always a good choice as you can pair it with the food you’re going to serve. For Vania’s special day, wine glasses were part of the table setting. These glasses from Schott Zwiesel are made of crystal so it resistant to breaking and chipping. It also comes in a set of six, perfect for a family dinner. Available at Pottery Barn, Central Square.
To go with the wedding’s color palette of turquoise are raspberry red, the table runner used had a blue green print. This one from Ikea has a floral pattern in blue, red, and yellow. It also has red tassels at the end, adding design to the table. Available online.
Since the wedding was set at the beach, woven placemats were used giving it a rustic touch. This placemat from Crate&Barrel is made of woven rattan. Over time, the colors will change naturally, adding texture and to any table setting. Available at SM Megamall.
Sticking with the color theme, turquoise goblets were also set on the table. They had intricate patterns on the base, stem, and the bowl itself. Available online.
Tea light candles were part of the table’s centerpiece along with flowers. These candle holders from Pier1 are similar to the one’s used by Vania except they have an octagon shape. You can use this to fill empty spaces on your table as well. Available online.
