6 Liquid and Gel Liners to Create the Right Cat Eye Wing

If there’s one thing I learned about eye makeup, it’s that getting a cat eye win right is crucial. Another thing is that it’s very difficult to do it using an eyeliner pencil (yes, I tried). That’s why we have liquid and gel liners to help us shape those wings.

And to ensure that you get it right, as well as avoid smudges, we’ve listed a few products that you can try out.

A trusty felt-tip liquid eyeliner is always a go-to for creating dramatic wings because it’s easy to hold and control. For this, opt for the NYX Felt Tip Liner (P520) for that classic black winged liner.

NYX Cosmetics. Available at Zalora and Beauty MNL. For more information, visit their website.

You can also try using a brown tint from Happy Skin’s Eye Am Here to Stay Precision Liquid Eyeliner (P599) for a softer, more neutral look.

Happy Skin. Available at Greenbelt 5 and SM Makati. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.

Skip the hassle of layering eyeliners to create a thick line and wing with Benefit’s They’re Real Push-up Liner (P1,400). The angular applicator also makes it easier to coat the whole upper lash line with just a few swipes.

Benefit. Available at SM Megamall and Greenbelt 5. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.

If you’re like me who’s a little intimidated by the ink from liquid eyeliners, you can also use a gel liner pot. Reach for Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Liner (P1,305) and just dab the brush onto it until you get the right amount. However, it’ll take a bit of time to create a wing―but still possible!

Bobbi Brown. Available at SM Megamall and Rustan’s Makati. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.

Want to add a bold statement to your wing? You can use Make Up Forever’s Aqua Liner in Iridescent Electric Purple (or any of their vibrant colors) for a fun eye makeup look on a night out.

Make Up Forever. Available at Bonifacio High Street and EDSA Shangri-La Plaza Mall. For more information, visit their website.

For some subtle shimmer, go for the Eye of Horus Liquid Metal Eyeliner in Alchemy Gold (P990). You can use this by itself or you can draw an outline to your black eyeliner for more dimension.

Eye of Horus. Available at Beauty MNL. For more information, visit their website.
