There is no sense in denying you headed out to the cinema, braving the holiday traffic to get your fix of A Second Chance, the sequel to one of the most quoted Filipino movies of all time, One More Chance. Bea Alonzo also knows you can’t quit the Popoy and Basha tandem as she’s hoping for a third installment to their love story.

Sana meron. After nu’ng magandang resulta ng [A Second Chance,] after namin mapanood na maganda yung reviews, nagkaroon kami ng hope na puwedeng maraming puntahan ang storya ng installment ng One More Chance. Sana may third (I hope there is one [more installment]. After the great results of A Second Chance and the good reviews, we saw the hope that the story of One More Chance offers a lot of possibilities. I hope there’s a third one).” says Bea.

The good results and reviews Bea is talking about are also reflected in the box office success of A Second Chance. In just 10 days, the movie has earned P400 million and was hailed as the “highest non-Metro Manila Film Festival movie on its opening day.”

Whether or not you liked the sequel enough to support a third one in the works, at least Bea knows that when you’ve got something good, you’ve got to keep on milking it.
