The Pussycat Dolls are missing a member for their reunion tour—here’s why

In case you haven’t heard yet: The Pussycat Dolls (PCD) are reuniting and they’re going on tour.

Yesterday, singer and PCD member Nicole Scherzinger posted a teaser, which nearly broke the internet. She later posted dates for their UK tour in April 2020. The poster features the names of the members, except for one.

If you remember, PCD originally consisted of six members. The poster is missing Melody Thornton, aka the lady who does the high notes in a lot of their songs. There’s no official statement as to why Thornton isn’t joining the tour, but PCD founder Robin Antin confirmed it and told The Sun that “at this time, it wasn’t right.”

Thornton also said in a Chart Show TV interview last January that she was mostly in the sidelines during her stint in PCD. “I’m primarily a vocalist, and getting into that group and Nicole had been signed [by a label] twice, so it only made sense for her to sing the majority of the leads,” she said. “But then, I kept being asked to wait my turn, and then my turn just never came, and we only released two albums.”

Thornton added that she wants to enjoy life and for her former bandmates to do the same. There has also been speculation that there was a feud between her and the others, but the PCD ladies said the door “was and is always open” for her return anytime.

Now that’s out of the way, we want to know: When is PCD going to have a reunion tour in the Philippines?
