McDonald’s is bringing back their 90’s Happy Meal toys

To celebrate 40 years of the Happy Meal, McDonald’s will be releasing 14 of its throwback toys, including Tamagotchi, Space Jam Bugs Bunny, Furby, and Hello Kitty.

The Happy Meal toys were first released globally in 1979, reaching the Philippines in 1997. Branches of McDonald’s in the Philippines will participate in the release from Thursday (Nov. 21) to Sunday (Nov. 24), where fans can grab these toys and join the unboxing of each Happy Meal that is packed in a blind bag.

“Parents tell us how fondly they recall their favorite toys,” said Colin Mitchell, McDonald’s senior vice resident for global marketing. “So, unboxing the Surprise Happy Meal together creates a real moment of bonding with their children.”

The Happy Meal Box retails for  PHP115 and PHP148. The Happy Meal will depend on the food options, including a Chicken McDo, a Cheesy Burger McDo, or an Eggdesal.
