Hide Your Food Baby With These Adjustable Pants

Christmas is the one time we’re willing to turn off our diets for a couple of days to make room for the overflowing food we’re ready to consume during the holiday break. Then again, we still want to look festive and make sure that our OOTDs are food baby-proof. Our solution? Adjustable pants, of course. But we’re not talking about sweats here (although that doesn’t seem like a bad idea, either). We found these Noche Buena-friendly bottoms you can slip into for your countless family and barkada dinners.

Uniqlo Ultra Stretch Jeans

I may be biased but Uniqlo does no wrong when it comes to comfortable jeans. The ultra-stretch denim provides a lot of movement and since it’s mid-waist, it keeps your food baby safe and sound. Available at SM Makati.

Mango Adjustable Waist Trousers

Paper bag pants were all over fashion week this year and now we know why: It perfectly hides your buffet belly. Where did the two plates of roast beef, pasta, grilled chicken, and caramel cake go? No one will ever know. And for that. we’re eternally grateful for elastic waist pants. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Diesel De-Kima Drawstring Jeans

You kinda want to wear sweats yet you also kinda want to wear jeans. These drawstring pants combine the two which is a win if you ask me. Available on Farfetch.

H&M Patterned Trousers

Another way to conceal your food baby is by wearing bold prints. Big prints can shift the focus from your bloated tummy to your holiday ensemble (and get away with taking your OOTD even if you’re full!). These elastic straight-cut trousers are made with patterned satin that could pass as pajama pants, but a very stylish one at that. Available at Uptown Mall.

Bershka Palazzo Trousers

Who do we thank for this recurring trend? If you can’t see the pattern on this list yet, elastic waistbands are your best friends this holiday season. These palazzo pants have a different kind of silhouette to them that takes all the attention away from your bloat. Who says cool girls can’t overeat? Available at SM Aura Premier.
