Lovi Poe’s Healthy Latte Will Convince You to Go Caffeine-Free

Healthy drinks come in different forms. We sometimes like protein shakes or green juice in the morning, and fruit smoothies for the rest of the day. We also like to believe that fruit-based cocktails are good for you too, but to each his own.

Today, we’re adding another recipe to the list courtesy of Lovi Poe. She recently made a turmeric latte while chilling at home. As you know, turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory remedy. If you consume this spice regularly, you’ll prevent the onset of certain diseases like colon cancer, indigestion, heart disease, and bacterial and viral infections.

Turmeric latte is also a good caffeine-free alternative in the morning which has a distinct and spiced flavor. Give it a go with the steps below.

Turmeric Latte

Ingredients
3/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 cups milk (full-cream, soy, or almond)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp vanilla extract or honey
Salt

Procedure
1. Put the turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, milk, and vanilla extract or honey in a blender to until smooth and frothy. Add a pinch of salt to taste.
2. Heat the mixture in a saucepan (size depends on amount) and stir.
3. Pour mixture in your favorite mug. For Lovi, it’s a cute Chip mug.

4. Add a dash of cinnamon on top if you want a hint of spice.
5. Drink and enjoy!
