We’re always looking for new ways to do our makeup by taking inspiration from celebrities. We can follow Kendall Jenner’s two-minute morning routine or Adriana Lima’s makeup look for a night out. We can even try out some products that Megan Young uses on a daily basis. Whether it’s a list of products or tutorial, we can get a lot of tips and tricks from these ladies. To add to this list, Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell recently posted her everyday makeup look tutorial on YouTube. In the video, she shares the different products she uses, how she applies them, and how she is always trying to learn new things. Grab the products listed below and watch the video while applying it for yourself.
To start of her makeup look, Shay likes to conceal any blemishes she has before applying foundation. This way, she can start with a clean slate for the rest of her makeup products. She also likes to let some of freckles come through. Available online.
She uses a foundation that is on the warmer side so she does not apply this one the areas of her face where she is going to highlight. She applies the product where she is going to contour like her forehead. The product is also blended into her neck, making it look seamless. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
Using the lightest color in the palette, Shay highlights under her eyes, T zone, and down the bridge of her nose. Available on Sephora PH.
She then uses a cream product to contour her face. She adds these to the places where she put foundation like her forehead and sides of her nose. You can also bring the product onto the eyelids, creating more shape and definition. Available online.
To add even more highlight to her face, she uses a concealer over her highlighting products. This was applied on the bridge of her nose, forehead, chin, and cupid’s bow. She then blended the product with a Beauty Blender. Available at Glorietta 3.
For bronzer, Shay uses a baked bronzer from Milani that has gold flecks in it. She uses this to further contour over her cream products. The bronzer is streak-free and has a shimmer finish. Available online.
To set her makeup, she uses a translucent loose powder. She applies this under her eyes, on her eyelids, and the other areas where she added highlight. Available at Glorietta 3.
Shay likes to use a darker shade powder for the areas where she contoured. This face powder from YSL is made for all skin types and has a flawless finish. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
She also uses a powder product to highlight her face. She brushes it on her cheekbones and brow bones, following a V shape. You can also dust the product on the tip of your nose and chin. Available online.
Shay isn’t a big fan of blush because she doesn’t want to look too rosy or cheeky. So she only applies a small amount on her face. She dusts it off with a brush and blends it on her cheeks. Available at Glorietta 3.
For her eyebrows, Shay uses a pencil product in dark brown. She shapes and fills them in while using the spoolie to brush them out. She also uses tiny strokes for the front of her eyebrows. Available online.
She then brushes her brows with a gel product in a taupe shade. This brow set will set the hairs in place while adding shine. It doesn’t make the brows stiff and it also comes in a clear shade if you don’t want to add color. Available at SM Aura Premier.
Shaye used warmer tones from this palette for her eye look. She applied the colors on her lids and her bottom lash line. She also used a gold metallic color and patted it on the center of her lids. Available online.
Shay likes to use an eyelash primer to make them thicker and to act as a base for her mascara. This one from L’Oreal amplifies mascara, conditions the lashes and makes them appear longer. Available at Watsons.
She finishes off her look with a peachy pink lipstick shade. She doesn’t swipe it on but lightly dabs it on her lips. She then presses her lips together to spread out the product. Available on Calyxta.
