What’s Going On With Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual in ‘Last Night’?

Three years after their first movie together, Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual have reunited for their upcoming film Last Night. While the trailer has people excited for the movie, some are also confused about the premise.

Directed by Joyce Bernal and written by Bela Padilla, the “dark rom-com” revolves around Carmina and Mark. They meet after saving a man who fell on the LRT tracks. They then spend time with each other at their hotel despite the revelation that both of them have significant others. The trailer ends with Carmina hanging on a sign after jumping off a bridge and Mark attempting to jump because Carmina stood him up.

Fans shared their own theories on the YouTube comments section as to why both characters are attempting suicide. Some said that Carmina and Mark’s significant others may have passed away, causing them to feel depressed.

Another said that Mark may be suffering from schizophrenia.

While another suggested that this can just be a film about infidelity and “meeting the right person at the wrong time.”

I guess you have to watch the movie to find out what’s really going to happen. Mark your calendars: Last Night will premiere on Sept. 27.
