How Lovi Poe and Maggie Wilson-Consunji Are Sporting their Woven Bags

Despite the rainy days, the hot item of the season is a little more summer-appropriate: the woven bag. Even I am toting one to work these days. They are statement pieces as they come in various forms but they can also be practical. It also helps that the weaving involved allows for fun designs and unusual silhouettes.

We’ve previously rounded up where you can buy your own woven bag if ever you want to get on the trend. This time, we’re rounding up the different personalities who are using them so you can have other ideas how to style a look around them or to simply look at different silhouettes the bag has taken for your next shopping binge.

Camille seems to be owning up to how the circle silhouette of the bag calls for fun times with embroidered slides and hoop earrings.

Chi Gibbs

Chi’s choice of a half-moon bag looks like she’s got all her essentials with her without looking like she’s weighed down by them.

Lovi Poe

Among her hair care items, we spy an Aranáz woven clutch. Yes, it’s that much of an essential.

When among flowers and in a sun dress a straw bag is a no-brainer choice. Don’t forget your sunnies!

Kara Gozali

The model proved how a small woven bag is best for a casual stroll in the city. Just have an umbrella on hand for the sporadic downpour.

Patti Grandidge

When at the pool, a woven bag fits just right into the aesthetic. Just see how Patti Grandidge reached for a simple, non-embellished woven bag for her last getaway.

The straw bag is also useful for a trip abroad. Check out how Mari Jasmine brought it with her to Marrakech.

Camie Juan

Looks like the circle silhouette is one of the most popular styles of this bag. We like how Camie paired it with her brown heels.

Maggie Wilson-Consunji

Maggie’s bag picks include two woven pieces: a tote and a clutch bag. See how you can have one from day till night?

Marie Lozano

With her polka dot top, long denim skirt, and nude sandals, the woven bag acted as a neutral piece to tie together the different influences in Marie Lozano’s outfit.

Nicole Andersson

With her ruffled off-shoulder dress and tassel earrings, looks like Nicole is ready to party. Any chance you’ve got a bottle of wine in that bag, Nicole?

Life is a picnic for blogger Vern, with her equally fashionable sister Verniece, as she sports a basket-like bag on the beachside.
